Chip Eickmann has enjoyed a long career in marketing, advertising, media and sales, first working in television. While with the Rouse Company, he cut his teeth on advertising and promotion when he managed special events, advertising and publicity for two of the company’s retail malls in Houston and San Antonio, Texas. For more than a decade, Chip was responsible for the creative development and management of successful marketing programs in the commercial real estate industry including employment with Federated Stores Realty.
With this experience, Chip headed for Florida where he joined the Walt Disney Company and stayed for more than 22 years. Chip’s first role was as a regional project supervisor handling marketing, advertising, promotion and media for the Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom. This position expanded to include additional responsibility for Epcot Center, Walt Disney World Convention Sales and the Walt Disney Travel Company. He later took an opportunity as Cooperative Advertising Manager for Walt Disney World and Disneyland where he was responsible for creative development, negotiations and staff management of the national and international print advertising program as well as sales of special network and major market television productions. In 1990, he joined the Disney Magazine Group as Senior Advertising and Sales Manager for Disney Adventures, Discover, FamilyFun and the Disney Magazine.
Always wanting to grow, Chip moved to Brevard County and worked as an independent consultant where as a contract member of the 321 Media Group, he helped develop the Brevard County Tourist Development Council recovery marketing campaign in response to the 9/11 disaster. After consulting with other Central Florida Advertising agencies, he joined spacecoast LIVING magazine in advertising sales. Later when the SCB Media Group acquired spacecoast LIVING, he represented it and spacecoast BUSINESS Magazines.
Chip is an active member in the community, having served on the Space Coast Office of Tourism Marketing Committee, the Melbourne/Palm Bay Area Chamber of Commerce CVB Committee, the Board for the Space Coast Chapter of the American Advertising Federation and the Brevard Cultural Alliance Marketing Committee.
