As an OEM manufacturer with multiple market possibilities and applications, MDI realized identifying and
reaching prospects in such as vast pool was an overwhelming challenge. Working together as a team, McBride
Woodbridge and MDI formulated a unique strategy to find potential customers in niche markets. Because the
process was new and unique, the challenge we faced was not only sharing the word about the company and their
capabilities, but also educating prospects on a totally new process – shaking up their core knowledge base
about typical plastic injection molding. This would require getting buy-in from them to consider foam as an
option for parts and products that typically used plastics, to accept the idea that foam was a stable material
for injection molding, and to learn new ways to think about molds, designs, and production.
