PREVENT! of Brevard
Each year PREVENT! of Brevard holds a fundraiser to generate a large portion of the
budget for their programs. For the past 3 years, McBride Woodbridge Marketing has
implemented a public relations program to heighten exposure for the event, and educate
the community on the programs offered by the charity. With the competition in the area
for many events, our goals were to showcase the event (and show the fun factor) as well
as rise to the top of the list for why itβs important to support this organization.
Additionally, we hoped to get coverage on the programs and the impact they play in the
community. Steering media relations for the organization also was part of the program to
help them maintain visibility among editors for inclusion in other stories.
Results:
- In-Kind advertising in eight area newspapers and magazines β value of $6,800
- Radio PSAs, Interview and in-kind spots β value of $3,500
- 2 feature stories in newspaper
- Coverage on all three news releases in 7 area print publications
- 1 post-event feature in Space Coast Living
