Terry Labs
Sometimes when a company has an established product or service that does not change
much, it’s challenging to maintain media visibility. For aloe manufacturer Terry
Laboratories, we decided to tackle the industry head on to generate visibility for
the company’s quality product and generate new exposure and expand positive perception.
The program involved the creation of a purity seal that manufacturers of products
containing aloe could place on their products to tell the consumer that their product
included “100% Pure Aloe” – a claim that many companies would not be able to stand by.
We sent out a release calling for companies to contact Terry Labs to have their aloe
tested, and if it met the criteria, they could receive artwork of the seal to put on
their products.
Results:
- Story placement on the program and the issue of adulterated aloe in 4 trade publications
- Appointments with 3 target companies to get aloe business
- Procurement of 2 joint customer relationships to promote program (and inclusion in stories)
